Data Privacy Day is Just Around the Corner - Are You Respecting Privacy, Safeguarding Data and Enabling Trust?

Now that National Cyber Security Awareness Month has come to a close, we set our sights on another very important day. January 28^th is Data Privacy Day.

Many individuals, companies, organization and government agencies will participate in the day to spread awareness about respecting privacy, safeguarding data and enabling trust – our theme for Data Privacy Day.

The success of Data Privacy Day relies on everyone to share the simple messaging around being a good steward of data by respecting privacy, safeguarding data and enabling trust.

We all possess data about ourselves, friends, family and even people we barely know. All of this data has monetary and sentimental value.

You don’t leave your money out on the street for anyone to take; you protect your money in your wallet and spend it on things you can enjoy or need.

If we begin to safeguard our data as we do our money and valued items, and become stewards of everyone’s data it will enable trust within our global digital community.
