Today, Google (disclosure: Google is an NCSA Board Member company) launched their revamped Family Safety Center . Google’s Family Safety Center provides consumer-friendly insight on how families can enjoy their Internet experience safely and securely. The renovated Family Safety Center has several new features, including:

• How to use Google’s safety tools (reporting abuse, privacy settings, etc.)
• Online safety advice from Google partners, including the NCSA, OnGuardOnline, iKeepSafe, WiredSafety, and GetNetWise.

One of the features that’s really great is videos of Google employees who are parents talking about keeping their kids safe online. NCSA’s research indicates that consumers put significant trust in major Internet-based companies and expect them to provide high quality accessible information about how to use their services and the Internet safely.  Google’s Family Safety Center sets a great example for the industry in offering consumer-friendly advice.
