Thank you Canada
Canada recently announced it is using October as a platform for Cyber Security Awareness Month activities.
As we all know, cyber security knows no boundaries. In a global network of computers, each computer and network needs to be secured and each user has to take responsibility for securing their part of cyber space.
Canada’s efforts as well as those of other countries are critical to ensuring every computer user employs basic security practices and secure online behavior. Like the United States, the Canadian awareness activities are a public private partnership. The government is working closely with The Retail Council of Canada to get the word out to as many Canadians as possible. It is great that Canada and the US are in alignment on awareness activities. It broadens everyone's reach and reinforces the secuirty messages.
The theme for National Cyber Security Awareness Month is Our Shared Responsibility. We are thrilled to be sharing it with Canada.
