National Cyber Security Alliance and RSA Conference Align to Highlight the Role Cybersecurity Awareness Plays in Strengthening our DefenseNCSA Executive Director Michael Kaiser to Also Discuss the Importance of Engaging C-Level Executives on Cybersecurity
Now in its 23rd year, RSA Conference continues to drive the information security agenda worldwide and consistently attracts the world’s brightest thinkers in the IT security field. The conference addresses our most important digital technology issues including privacy, application and mobile security, identity and access management and others. At the conference NCSA will host and take part in two panel discussions, several social media activities and an evening cocktail party.
“Each year, NCSA leadership and many of our supporting STOP. THINK. CONNECT. Campaign partners look forward to participating in RSA Conference because it’s an information sharing environment where ideas about the best approaches to solving the world’s cyber challenges are discussed and made better,” said Michael Kaiser, executive director of the NCSA. “We appreciate industry events like RSA Conference because it gives us a forum to explore creative solutions to digital challenges that threaten both our national defense and digital citizens.”
Kaiser added: “Even if you’re not attending the conference in person, we strongly encourage you to get engaged with the conference and its topics through social media and NCSA’s upcoming Twitter chat.”
Whether attending the conference in person or participating from afar, here are some ways to get involved in RSA Conference with NCSA:
Digital industry leaders from NCSA, RSA Conference and others will answer questions about using collective intelligence to solve digital issues during a Twitter Chat. The “STOP. THINK. CONNECT.” Campaign and National Cyber Security Awareness Month recently celebrated their 10th year engaging public and private sector partners with the goal of raising awareness about cybersecurity. In taking a look at how far we’ve come in the last 10 years, and looking ahead to the next decade, how do we continue to build this bench strength and ultimately strengthen our defenses?
Join NCSA, RSA Conference, and other leading industry professionals for a cocktail party at the Minna Gallery, 111 Minna Street, San Francisco, CA. Admission will be granted only to those with an RSA Conference badge or party invitation.
Many small and medium companies often lack the resources and tools to protect against the ever-changing cyber threat. This session will give people ideas and tools to talk to their C-level executives and boards about the importance of cybersecurity, including framing cybersecurity through a risk management lens, and assessing the current status of the company’s cyber efforts.
